I wanted to write this blog because I’ve found that so many blogs out there are too intense for me, like either the blogger is too fit, or too organized, or too thrifty, or too fashionable… I couldn’t relate. Instead of being inspired, I’d end up feeling overwhelmed and inadequate. I was looking for something somewhere in the middle. Nobody can be a master of all trades right?
I’m now a stay at home mom and constantly searching for balance in my life. I want to cook healthy-ish dinners for the family, but I don’t want to spend my life in the kitchen. I want to be healthy and fit-ish, but I don’t want to blend my own organic green juices at home and be a slave to the gym. I want to be a stylish-ish mommy, but I don’t want my husband to lose his mind when he sees the credit card bill, plus I want to be comfy (and sky high heels with choke-your-butt skinny jeans, just are not). Lastly, I want to be a great mommy, but I don’t want to feel like I’m in some mommy-competition (like who is the most organic? Or who has the latest name brands stamped on their kids’ clothes?). But, to be honest, I’m not here to judge you if you do any or all of those things. I personally am searching for balance. It has to exist out there, right? So I figured, why not dabble in a little of everything… with moderation?!
I’m going to kick off this blog as a place where you can get fun updates on fashion- not too pricey, and definitely comfy, easy and fast recipes, quick and dirty exercise ideas, relationship tips, inspirational quotes, and mommy thoughts/ideas that will NOT be too preachy. I will also have a “can we talk?” section where you never know what I might say, definitely uncensored!
I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy blogging! I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
Disclaimer: I do not claim to be an expert in any of these areas, which is exactly why I’m writing this blog. We do not all have to be experts to be ENOUGH or to do a GREAT job as mommies. I make mistakes and I’m far from perfect. I promise to be real and aim to inspire more mommies to forgive themselves for not being perfect. It’s time to start having fun as a mommy! Let’s do this!
